Welcome to The Beauty Blizzard, the cozy little corner of Ice Ice Beauty by Katie where things might get a little messy-in the best way!

If you’ve found your way here, you probably already know that I love making things. Body butters, soaps, bath treats, lip care, crochet goodies… if it smells good, feels good, or makes everyday life a little more fun, there’s a pretty good chance I want to try making it.

Ice Ice Beauty started with a simple idea: self-care doesn’t have to be complicated or serious. Sometimes it’s a rich body butter after a shower. Sometimes it’s a bath bomb you bought entirely because the color made you happy. Sometimes it’s finally finding something for those rough, hardworking hands that regular lotion just isn’t cutting it for.

And sometimes it’s me standing in my kitchen wondering why a batch decided today was the day to test my patience.

That’s part of the fun.

So, what is The Beauty Blizzard?

This is where I’ll share a little bit of everything that happens behind Ice Ice Beauty.

You’ll find new product launches, ingredient spotlights, scent guides, gift ideas, self-care tips, behind-the-scenes peeks, and probably a few stories about products that took some trial and error before they became something I was proud to put on the shelf.

I also want this to be a place where you can actually learn more about what you’re buying. What’s the difference between a body butter and a lotion? Why does one product work better for certain areas than another? What exactly is jojoba oil? And how do you choose a scent when you can’t smell it through a screen?

We’ll get into all of it.

Handmade means a little more to me

Every Ice Ice Beauty product is made in small batches with care. I choose the products, develop the ideas, make them, photograph them, build the website, pack the orders, and occasionally stare at a label for far too long deciding whether something needs to move three pixels to the left.

Small business life. 😂

But that also means there’s a real person behind everything you see here.

When you shop Ice Ice Beauty, you aren’t picking something from a giant warehouse shelf. You’re choosing something that was made by hand, packaged with care, and created because I genuinely thought, Okay, this would be really cute.

Or useful.

Usually both.

What’s coming next?

There’s a lot happening around here.

New products are joining the lineup, old favorites are getting a fresh new look, and the Ice Ice Beauty website is becoming the home I always wanted for everything I make.

One of the newest additions is Golfer’s Balm, created for rough, dry, hardworking hands. Despite the name, you definitely don’t need to own a set of golf clubs to use it. It’s for golfers, gardeners, mechanics, makers, DIYers, crafters, and anyone else whose hands could use a little extra care.

And that’s only one of the things I can’t wait to share more about.

So grab a body butter, run a bath, or just hang out for a while.
